Top Brooklyn Nets coaching candidates

STAN

Phil Jackson

Like Sloan, Jackson is deep into his retirement and probably enjoys it. Still, PJax comes up every time a major coaching position opens, and the Nets would be silly not to do their due diligence. Jackson’s championship pedigree speaks for himself — he’s got more rings than fingers to wear them on — but his triangle offense may not be a good fit for a team with a star point guard like Williams.

That said, it appears that Jackson may be the team’s #1 target for head coach. If Prokhorov feels that Jackson is the right move, there’s millions of dollars in his pocket to make it happen — and no luxury tax on coaches.
