RESOLUTION: What can you do? Does anyone have a realistic answer? I’ve heard fans call for Billy King’s head on a daily basis since everyone realized this team wasn’t really anywhere close to the overall expectations. But what can he do? He had an opportunity to trade for two Hall of Famers, and he did it. No one was mad that the Nets cut Gerald Wallace and Kris Humphries, and they’d still go back and do that today. (Yes, the Nets are screwed without their first-round picks, but that has no bearing on the team’s actual production today). He made the call everyone in the universe would make: he replaced struggling players with Hall of Famers.

It blew up in his face. The team is awful, with a record-setting payroll, and no easy way out. They could trade their two highest-paid players for literally nothing and still be stuck above the salary cap.

The only resolution I can think of: erect a 50-foot billboard outside of Kevin Durant’s house with the Brooklyn Nets logo that says “WE HAVE CAP SPACE IN 2016.”

HIGH POINT: Uh… Drafting Mason Plumlee, I guess?

LOW POINT: Must be seeing his team, concocted in a front office fantasy basketball laboratory, take the court 31 times and lose in 21 of them.
