Nets vs. Knicks: Roundtable & Predictions

Predictions:

Justin DeFeo: Knicks win another close, hotly contested battle 101-99.

Mark Ginocchio: Brooklyn 99, Manhattan 92.

John Hood: Nets win 108-98 behind a double-double by Brook Lopez. Carmelo Anthony goes off for 30 points against the Nets in a losing effort.

Devin Kharpertian: I imagine the Nets will try to slow this one down and I can see another game going to the final minute. I think the Knicks take this one at home. I’ll say 92-89. As with all of my predictions, I have no faith in it.

Benjamin Nadeau: Nets win, 97-95.

Will Rausch: Nets 98, Knicks 95. Future January coach of the month P.J. Carlesimo gets the Nets amped up defensively and his team holds the offensively-surging Knicks to under 100 points in the final regular season installment of Borough Ball (fingers crossed for playoffs). Back to the Future D-Will has another return-to-form game, and Brook Lopez’s recent steel cage match with Reggie Evans pays off when he stops Chandler’s numerous attempts at tapbacks. Nets eke out a victory in a MLK day matinée classic a la the first two games in Brooklyn.

Max Weisberg: Nets: 108, Knicks: 103. If the Nets end up losing, they’ll make trades upon trades, P.J. Carlesimo will be fired, Mikhail Prokhorov will sell his stake, and the team will move back to East Rutherford in shame. So please win, Brooklyn. Please win this game. For all of us. Sincerely, Nets Fans Everywhere.
