Jerry Stackhouse: Re-love the corner.
It’s hard to give our resident savior any new goals for 2013, given that he’s far surpassed everything any Brooklyn Nets fan thought he would bring us at all. When Stackhouse was signed this summer, he was brought in as a coach and mentor. As one of Avery’s favorites, Stackhouse was to play a role of veteran leadership and sit on the bench in a suit. After MarShon Brooks got hurt, Stackhouse played by default. And he played damn well.
In 2013, Stackhouse should make sure to regain his perfect corner three which has faded a little bit in recent weeks. The Nets can only go as far as Stackhouse takes them. If he wants to take everybody else to the spa/voodoo monastery where he’s injected with the spry DNA of young animals, that would be a fine New Year’s Resolution, too.
